Question about a B17G

Hello! I got a question about a B17 G its named Konditori Baby. Flew by pilot Merle P brown, around oktober 1944 and 22 mission forward. 368th BS 1: which serial number had that B17? 2: Crew members name? Best regards Mattias E Sweden

Mattias, According 381st BG website "Konditori Baby" was 43-38802. Survived the war and scrapped at Kingman December 1945. Regards, Leendert

Mattias Would appear KONDITIRI BABY was assigned 306thBG Thurleigh 31st oCTOBER 1944. Flew with 306thBG till end of WW2, transferred out to 381st BG May 0f 1945. Explanation may e the exchange of war weary B-17's in 1st Air Division between 306th-381st, in exchange for a 381st H2X PFF ship?? 306th were about to fly, in partnership wth the 305thBG, the CASEY JONES project photomapping Europe.
