Pow Henry Lieut Safer & Kaplan

Hello
 
Does anyone knows which position (Navigator, Pilot, Bombardier) held
 
Henry Safer 1st Lieut  shot down 4 Oct 44 from 2th Bg
Kaplan Elliot 2nd Lieut shot down 17 Oct 44 from 2nd Bg

    Nicolas75:  question; I am the second son of Henry Safer.  I have just become aware of a question you asked about him.  Henry Safer was one of three that survived the downing of B 17 "043".  (Oct 4, 1944)   Are you writing a book ?  What is the purpsoe of your research ?
