Ploesti 93rd and 98th BG REUNIONS...
This past week my dear friend, Bob Sternfels, wrote to me about the two BGs that are planning Reunions this October, the 98th and the 93rd. Their theme this year includes a Ploesti Symposium. Bob had originally planned to give a presentation at the 98th but had to cancel. He was then asked by the 93
rd to make a presentation but their Reunion dates conflicted with another one of his previously arranged engagements. Bob will be sorely missed this year, as I have found out over the years that he is not only a survivor of that "low level mission," but also so knowledgeable about the many facets of this event from that Sunday 8.1.43 known as “Tidal Wave.” Listening to Bob, you would think that you were sitting in the right seat as he guided “The Sandman” over Astra Romana.
Bob asked me to remind the Membership about the two upcoming events, and how important it is to support these two groups. Although there have already been two posts on this sub-forum dealing with the Reunions, I wanted to also post the following information from Bob to support both the two BGs and Bob's request!
