Picture of ground crew - 04/20/2002 08:31:01 PM
I recently uncovered a picture of my father, James Edward Turner, and the ground crew of 'ship 37.' The picture shows the crew in front of the #2 engine and has the following inscription: (ENG) (RES) (315 PL) (20-8-45) (47) (HOWARD PROJECT). The crew's names were on the back of the photo but have been obscured except for the following: West Fall - Col.; - Tenn; ---sky - NJ; - PA; ---as - NJ; Lewis - Mich.; and L-----tsky - Ill. Any information relating to the crew would be appreciated. I know that he was in the 16th bomb group from the diamond B marking on the tail, but I'm not sure which squadron 'ship 37' was assigned to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. [signature]
