Philip Adair - 01/05/2004 08:43:47 AM
I'm trying to locate Philip Adair of the 89th FS, 80th FG. Does anyone know if he's still living and, if so, how to contact him? I recently obtained a painting of his P-40 "Lulu Belle," and was hoping to have it autographed by him. Thanks for any assistance, Mark [signature]

RE: Philip Adair - 05/31/2005 10:00:51 AM
I have paperwork showing Philip Adairs name on Awards day in India for the Japanese planes shot down May 27, 1944. I have done extensive research on Lt. Joseph B. Patton, Burma Banshee, killed July 15, 1944.My original goal was to return a photo of Lt. Patton that I had to his family, but in the end, ended up with a book of material 8 inches thick, and helped Joe's sister Betty Burke of San Antonio Texas get all of his personal items returned to her. This is one of the more meaningful things I have done in my life. It was very re-warding. Joe Patton's picture and info on The Burma Banshees now sits in the Burma Banshee Historical case at Sheppard Air Force Base Texas, and a full copy of all of my investigation on Joe and The Burma Banshees and all of Joe's personal items will be trusted to a new flight museum opening up in Texas soon. Anyone needing any help, or information on anything I have is welcome to contact me. Wish desperately to speak with Philip Adair or his son. Thanks.

Hi P47FlyingMachine,

Feel free to give me a call 540-752-5738 or email me ay robin.adair@prgrp.com and i can get you in touch with my father.

Since you are a P47 fan, here is a shot of him in his P47 in Burma

Here is a shot of another Burma Banshee

And here is one of the planes he shot down, I believe on the day you are refering to. You can see the left engine catching fire. I have pictures of all four planes he shot down that day
