-
02/24/2008 09:02:48 PM
My dad, Paul R. Gordon, was a radio operator assigned to a B-24 and part of his Radio and gunnery training was at Wendover Field, Utah. He arrival at ETO was JUL 20 1944 and his battles were Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. He flew 24 missions in 10 months. His navigator or pilot was named Mike Garvey. I am trying to find out what Bomb Group and Squadron.

Thanks, Eric. I have a strong feeling based that his replacement crew left from Westover Field, MA on or around JULY 18, 1944. This is based on the observation of a man from Mass. who had a relative leave around the same time, from the same base. Also, because it only took him to days to arrive, we believe he took the Northern route Bwo B-24. Unfortunetely, I do not know what to do with this information as I don't know the B-group, etcl., of those who left on those dates. I would apprieciate any help or ideas that anyone could offer. I have already given his service schools on the previous post, and campaigns. thanks, Paula B.
