Just wanted to post a pic given to me by a crew chief named Buffington's daughter at the 2003 reunion.  I actually painted this aircraft for Bert Lok who is peering over the top of the Jug.  The photo was taken prior to the addition of the name being applied.  She was coded CH*K and I think the pilot is Orin Wahl.  Thought you might enjoy this and I would love to hear any comments.  BTW, Buffington had passed away and his daughter had a plethora of photographs.  It was really interesting hearing Howard Gurley and the cast reflecting on the photos. 
Also there was a British 'chap' there named Graham Hukins selling his book 'Thunderbolts Over High Halden'.  It is a good read on the 358th's early exploits there.  Thought I would let you know that the book was out there.

I reread my post and I should add, I painted a painting of this a/c.  I didn't actually paint the real bird!!
