P-47 44-19580 of Lt Olger KIA 29 of August 1944

Hello,
I'm looking after some information about the death , military career..etc of Lt Olger from 350 FS KIA on the 29 of August 1944 over Belgium.

    Alex--Paul         this was 353FG mission 285 , 44 P-47s led by Capt. Price strafing-bombing in Brussels area. Bad weather had reduced bomber operations.
    Take-off 07.16, return 10.12; the 350th were strafing at Diest/ Schaffen A/F and Aal was no. 4 of 5-plane flight. Flak was alerted by the time they started, he was either hit by flak or an exploding target.
    He was flying LH--Q  44-19580 formerly Lt. Col. Gallup's LH--N " Rat-a Dat ". The group were informed some time later that he crashed 7 m. west of St. Trond.                        Nick

    Hello,
     
    Lt Olger crashed at HELEN-BOS (Belgium) and according to his MACR they attacked Schaffen/Diest airfield...I'm not certain about the right location of the attack (Schaffen/Diest) because there was another German airfield called "Orsmaal" nearby the crash place of Lt Olger and this airfield was attacked on the same day that Lt Olger was shot down. The distance between Schaffen and Orsmaal is not so much. I've intervieuwed 2 weeks ago an eyewitness of the attack of Orsmaal and He said that the first P-47 who went down for the straffing was shot down by the FLAK of the airfield and crashed at Helen-Bos. The second P-47 who went down could neutralize the FLAK battery who shot down the first P-47.
