Hello My Friends,
Thanks you very much for your precious help, I am sure, with your help, we will find what happened to him.
Yes Danny, you are right, he crashed in the area where you have a lot of mountains. Maybe do you know the Vosges (not very far from Strasbourg) ? e just know, Lt Booth was burried at the american cemetery of Dinozé, near Epinal.
Thanks you Phil, it is a good idea too, to contact the Nara and the IDPF, and I hope, same I am not member of his family, they will answer me. I will try it.
Yes Rich, you are right too, his goal was to drop some belly tanks over the forest of Biffontaine, (very near of the town of St Dié) but just before to arrive at this area, he falled. You are right, the weather was very terrible, cold, rain and the last day of the lost bn affair, there was snow !! I met one of these wonderful pilot, last July, and he related us, that it was very difficult to drop the BT, they didn't know if the BT's were dropped at the good place, and some of these BT were falled in German area. The lost bn guys saw the BT's were falling, but they couldn't have them.... It was very difficult for the texans.
Again my friends, thanks you very much for your help,
Have a nice day, and take care,
Gerome
