"Over the Hump Club" CBI

Has anyone heard of the "Over the Hump Club?"  I am familiar with the "Burma Roadsters" while in the CBI Theater, but the OHC is new to me.  The one and only reference I could find suggests it is an exclusive "club" for men who flew 100+ missions over the "Hump."  The man being discussed had completed 51 missions then volunteered twice for 25 more.

I have a "short snorter" that belonged to an officer in the Chinese-American Composite Wing.  On the margin of a Chinese note is "Over the Hump Club" and a date in October 1943.  This is the same red 10 Yuan note specified to be used by the "Burma Roadsters."  Perhaps it is merely a re-designation of the same group.

I have heard the term used by CBI transport crewmen to describe those men who had completed more than 100 trips over the hump.  I am reasonably certain it was a verbal reference among the Hump crews and not a structured goal.

Mike,  As Tony has indicated, it was an "unofficial" designation and not a goal or "official title for a certain # of sorties."  Somewhere I read a specific article on it but haven't located it yet.  I've attached, however, an interesting and succinct  link I had found earlier on "the Hump" missions and some related history and figures.   http://www.himalayanclub.org/journal/over-the-hump/  I'll keep looking for that article.

I've not heard of an official "club" either, but I will look thru my references to see if anything pops up.
