Hello I am a new member and very glad to be here.
I have had an intrest in aviation all my life, and allways the
WWII stuff. I have talked with many people about there
time spent in the sevice of our country, most offen the WWII
vetrens. I met a guy not to long ago named Don Jackmen who
was an ordinance mechanic with the 7th Army AirForce. Do any of you know him? He is a great person and has many stories to tell, I really enjoy talking with him when he comes into my store. He said he was with the 30th bomb group.

Ordanance Mechanic? Would you be kind enough to ask him what his MOS number was?

Yes I should have thought of that. The next time I see Bob I will ask
Him his MOS number. I served twentythree years in the 82nd 11B.

P-38 LIGHTNING. - 10/10/2005 10:44:00 AM
I Build and fly RC airplanes, and Im currently building a P-38
Lightning. It will be ready this coming spring for its first flight. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it was like flying the real thing. This plane has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I  fly mostly WWII models and have been very lucky to find some of the pilots that flew the real stuff. any info would be great.
