Norman Kiefer RIP - 04/30/2007 07:54:59 AM
Everyone,

I had an email from Scott Kiefer to let me know that his Dad, Norman Kiefer, passed yesterday (Sunday 4/29) after a long illness.  He asked me to pass the message on to any appropriate forum of which I'm a member.

I can't say enough and yet I don't have the right words to say very much.    I never met Norm Kiefer, yet I read about him and read some of his words in the 506th BS history. Through him a lot of names became familiar.  I am in his debt both as an amateur researcher and as a member of the generation who could be born in freedom because of what our fathers' generation did.

Norman - Rest in Peace, and Blue Skies.

Rob:

Thanks for the Information. I am sure Scott has notified the 44th., but I will do the same just to make sure. I sat and talked with Mr. Kiefer at a couple reunions some years back, he was a good story teller and had a great recall. His book is a main stay in my library and I use it all the time. He will be missed.

Roger
