Found this obituary in my newspaper today and thought I would post it in case anyone knew Mr. Cocino. He was a sergeant with the 58th Fighter Group. [image]local://upfiles/10329/128DBEA9839041D8AD252BC81BBE880A.jpg[/image]

Christine, found the Obituary on your Uncle Nicholas J Cocino very interresting. My uncle Lt Arthur Cain who was a P-47 Pilot was also assigned to the 58 Fighter Squadron. He was returning from his last flight before returning to the United States when he bailed out of his aircraft on 17 Jan 1945 over Vigan Point on Luzon Philippines. After bailing out he was observed landing just off shore, his aircraft wreakage also observed, but he was never seen or heard from again. Have been attempting to contact other pilots from the 58 Fighter Squardron, so far no luck, in an attempt to find someone who knew him.
