New book on Santa Rosa AAF - 07/22/2008 10:44:07 PM
Douglas D. Olson has self published a new book with photos "Fighter Training at Santa Rosa Army Air Field 1942-1945". It is available from him for $20 postpaid at 4284 Deer Trail Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404-1606. He and Harrison Rued worked on this for years and it covers a previously unpublished subject.

Thanks for Post ! My Dad's Fighter Squadron , 364th ,
trained there and he married my Mom there 8/3/43.

Can anyone advise where the Santa Rosa Army Air Field was located?  I used to fly out of a field called the Santa Rosa Air Center south of town, but I thought that used to be an old Naval Air Station.  Is the current Sonoma Co. Airport north of town the former AAF field?
