New Book: The Yankee Maquis: Resistance Fighter then Resistance Supplier - 07/31/2008 06:09:27 PM
The Yankee Maquis, by Marthellen Jones Hoffman, will describe B-17, WWII Pilot Lt. Nyle W. Jones' exciting rescue first day of D-Day Southern France,  resistance combat, repatriation to MacCloskey's secret 885th, later 2641st Squadron (P), and heroic dropping of OSS agents and supplies to them and other partisans in Italy and Balkans, all after 15 August 44.
Please contact me with any info/names of 2641st ground or flight crews, including other pilots Edward W. Diehl, Leroy E. Clark, Howard B. Dinsmore, E.E.Tauber,  at bases in Algiers, Brindisi, and Rosignano, until May 1945. Thanks already to John K. Mattison and Richard Drain.
Marthellen Jones Hoffman, niece
