Does anyone have a photo of the B-17F "Little Butch" 42-29594 from the 429th BS. The aircraft was an original that arrived with the Group in North Africa. It was assigned to the crew of Maj. William H. Meyer. They flew 29 of their 30 missions in the aircraft and were shotdown in it over Naples, Italy on Wednesday August 14, 1943, MACR 371. Thank you, Patrick

Hi Patrick, have no pics but your machine is mentioned at www.2ndbombgroup.org at Bulletion Board. When you´re there use Ctrl+F , insert 42-29594 in the column and hit Enter. You should find this mention... It´s like this: In a June 2005 interview with Al Nash (429th Tail Gunner inLittle Butch #42-29594), he recalledas mission intensity increased, Skippy became gunshy because of the amount of noiseand clutter fromnearby .50 cal's and had to be grounded. He would always be availablewhen his masterwould prepare for a mission. The ground crew would have Skippy view thetakeoff andhe was always available for the landing. So if Mr. Al Nash is still alive,he could give you some pics maybe...
Roman Susil Zlin, Czech Republic ...a friend of Joe Owsianik, a former left waist gunner from B-17G ''Tail End Charlie" from 2ndBG,20th Sqdn, that was forced to bail out on Aug. 29th, 1944 over my country.
