 Need Serial Number

Need Serial Number - 03/31/2006 01:13:51 AM
A P-38 was lost after it was last seen over the Lae area, Papua New guinea on/or about 1/8/43.  The plane belonged to the 39th Fighter Squadron, 35th Fighter Group.  The Pilots name is 1st Lt. John H. Mangas.  Could someone please give me the serial number of this plane.
