 Need Serial Number On P-38

Need Serial Number On P-38 - 10/22/2005 09:40:54 PM
Could someone please give me the serial number of a P-38 that was lost in Papua New Guinea on 3/13/44.  The plane belong to the 36th Fighter Squadron, 8th Fighter Group.  The Name of the pilot is Flight Officer Robert J. Ritchie, KIA the same date.  Thank You:  John
