John -- The 311th FG lost four pilots shot down over Rangoon on 27 November 1943. One of the KIA pilots, 1/Lt. James M. Gray of the 530th FS, was in 43-6195, so it wasn't him in 6265. Another KIA in the 530th was 2/Lt. Everitt E. Briggs. The other two pilots were named Wilmer and Hagan, but I don't know their full names or squadrons.

Unfortunately I do not have the pilot for this aircraft either, and am also looking for that information.

As Carl has mentioned, four aircraft from the 311th were lost on November 27, 1943:

43-6258 (MACR 1210)
43-6265 (MACR 1213)
43-6284 (MACR 1212)
43-6296 (MACR 1209)

I have been unable to find any reference to a MACR for the loss of 43-6195 - Nor any reference to its unit or ultimate fate for that matter. Was this supposed to be 43-6296 (or vice versa)?
