Mission #119 on 1/8/1944

Dear Sirs, My name is Vanni Catellani, I live in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and I'm interested in aviation history. I'm trying to gather as much documentation as possible about the history of Reggio Emilia's airfield and the related events. Actually this is only a hobby (I have no time to do it on a regular basis), but since our aifield is still in use today (I've earned my PPL here) and the people here know little of its past, I would like to write something about it, one day. I'm looking for some details about a mission done by the 2nd BG on january, 8th, 1944 on northern Italy. Reggio Emilia airfield and the Reggiane aircraft factory and rail yard nearby where bombed. My Grandfather was working in the psychiatric hospital nearby the Reggio Emilia airfield on that day, and he nearly died when some of the bombs went off target and hit the hospital. Some of the patients were also killed. Could you suggest me how to find said report, as well as other details eventually available? I once saw a picture of the raid taken by one of the bombers, showing the bomb hits pattern. As far as I've understood, this was normal practice for the bombers. It would be great to locate said picture (or other reconnaisance pictures about the same location) and purchase a copy of it, if it's possible. I thank you in advance for your kind reply, Best Regards, Vanni Catellani
