Military Prison Fire - 05/30/2007 11:16:03 PM
Is there a list of the men who died in the tokyo Military Prison Fire? If so, how does one obtain a copy?
My Uncle was a tailgunner on B-29 shot down over Tokyo. Trying to find info on him and crew V25 42-24674

Mr. Edwards,
Attached is the crew list for 42-24674.
Ray Brashear, A/C is alive and well. The aircraft was lost April 7. Reportedly by a
phos bomb.

Mr Edwards..
At least two crew flew 42-24674.
This is not unusual. I hope eliminating Ray Brashear's crew helps in your search.
Tetsuya's list of POW fatalities is comprehensive. He is a trusted source.

Please excuse me.. Mr Alice Edwards..haha..
Hap Halloran could give you more info on the situation with the Kempai Tai, wardens of the special prisoners(B29ers).
hroverboy@aol.com
He survived the Mar 10 firebombing of Tokyo by the grace of God. He was in the 73rd, also.
Shot down over Tokyo, Jan 27. V-Square 27.
You might look for his book , Hap's War, for more details.
Or contact me, off Scott's list for more details.
