Can anyone tell me what happened to the two survivors of the Jeter crew, after the collision with the 303rd BG aircraft?? They were: Lt Bailey, Nav and Lt Swanson, Bombardier. T. i. a. Andy Bigweeker

Also on the 384thBombGroup.com website (personnel database) you can see that Bailey was apparently shot down on 14 October 1943 and evaded capture. We have no mission in the database for Bailey beyond 22 Feb 1944, but the crewmember mission database is only about 26% complete. Swanson appears to have continued to fly a full combat tour and returned to the US in August. Or maybe July. That needs looking into...
