By chance, in your Album have you PHOTO of the two CREWS and AIRCRAFTS down Sunday December 19, 1943 , who I am studying since 3 years : 1) B-17F Serial # 42-5832 "War Bird II" , 99th BG , 348th BS , Pilot Lt. Cyril Stidd ( 3 KIA ) , crash in Italian territory ( past June finally I fund the site of crash...). 2 ) B-71F Serial # 42-5223 "Rigor Mortis" , 99th BG , 346th BS , Pilot Simpson ( 1 KIA ) , downed slow touching in Adriatic. I am looking for PICTURES of these up Aircrafts and Crews , or , incidentally , are GOOD Photos of other Aicraft and crew who took part to the same Mission over Augsbur-Innsbruck . Good are also Pictures of Aicrafts of the 99th BG in activity at ground in Puglia's Airport, (area Foggia ) , in maintenance, in flight over the Adriatic or over the Alps. Better before the end of the same year 1943. I contacted National Archives but I not received any Photos for my research. I am ready to publish in a BOOK the entire part of Italian History of the "War Bird II" : I have photos of site of crash, of wreeckages , witness , reconstructions, mortuary documents , but not a only PHOTO about the topic of my job.
