MACR Assitance - 341st Bomb Group

Using footnote.com I have been able to access most of the MACRs for the 341st Bomb Group. However, there are a two which I can not find using every search variation I can think of...MACR number, aircraft serial number or names of probable crew members.

The losses would have occurred in the China-Burma-India theater. Can someone help me verify that these MACRs are for 341st Bomb Group aircraft and personnel?

MACR 3496, supposedly B-25, serial 43-4359; on/about 26 March 1944

MACR 7591, supposedly for 11th BS/341st BG B-25, serial 43-3894; on/about 17 July 1944

    I have been using footnote for several months and have searched for about 75 MACRs in that time frame.  In general I find that 10 to 15 percent of the MACRs I've searched for are not posted.  To add to the problem I've found several cases where the serial number was entered incorrectly on the original MACR report so when you search by the correct serial number you cannot find it.  I've found some by searching by a crewman's name, which is how I discovered the problem with the incorrect serial numbers.  Footnote states that this type of record is 96% loaded on their system at this time but gives no indication of the sequence in which they are being loaded, numerical order, date order, etc.  Best bet ... order them from Maxwell but keep checking footnote while you wait for them to arrive.

    I want to first say that I am overjoyed at the information I have gained from MACRs at footnote!  And, I seem to be luckier that you because the two listed are the only problems out of 90 MACRs which I have searched.  With that success I have been able to verify all but 36 of the 493 men from the 341st Bomb Group I had as MIA/KIA.
     
    From reading ealier posts on this forum I knew to try variations of spelling for names, as well as number sequence for aircraft serial numbers and/or MACR.  That information helped me find 4 or 5 MACRs that I would have missed other wise.
     
    I posted here hoping to not add much to the Maxell researcher's work load. I do plan on following your advice and ordering the two questionable MACRs from Maxwell.  These will be in addition to a four others for which I hope the printouts are more legible than the overly light/dark digital images.  I aalready have several of the microfilm rolls, so I am not confident the printouts will be any better than the digital image.
