I'm posting a query received through 1st Ftr. Assoc. channels--

This B-17 apparently disappeared without a trace with 19 persons on board, 5 crew and 14 passangers.  The 'FOB' you mention is probably a mistype of FOD, finding of death, basically a missing person being declared dead because no trace of a body being found.  Attached is a document from the MACR as posted on footnote.com

From Roger Freemans "The B-17 Flying Fortress Story" the following information is provided:

A/C 41-2464:  Del McChord 22/12/41;  ass 7BG hawaii;  tran 93BS/19BG Java 21/1/42;  64BG/43BG Australia as hack named QUEENIE w/5AFSC;  MIA Nadzab/Blak 8/7/44 w/19 aboard, no trace.

I have no idea if this would be new information for you or a repeat of old; however, take what's new and leave the rest.

It seems as though the family of Dawson Leondus Hutchison has been doing some research regarding the crash.  Hutchison was a Warrant Officer, Junior Grade on that flight.
