I am seeking information about Lt. Joseph Woody Cochran, a half-Cherokee B-17 pilot attached to the 5th Air Force. I interviewed his wife today and she remembered his unit as the 93rd Squadron, 19th Group. However, it seems more likely that he was attached to the 43rd Group. He won a number of medals and I'm trying to put together his history. Here's a photo with what I have so far:

Jason...Have you contacted the Historians for the 19th BG and the 43rd BG ?
