Lt. Thomas B. Conner, Jr. and crew...

This is my first post. I'm searching for information on my Uncle, Lt. Thomas B. Conner, Jr. and his crew. He was in the 445th Bomb Group, 703rd Squadron. If you have any info, please contact me at johnc@cybersouth.com. Thanks.

    John,

My reference shows this aircraft went down due to mechanical problems and ditched in the North Sea.

Thank-you so much. Here's a little background information on my uncle. Uncle Tom was very young. An early graduate from high school and from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, he was actually teaching at Georgia Military College in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 21.

Our family actually lost Tom and his sister's husband, William D. Montgomery, during the same week of the war. Montgomery was a naval aviator who drowned near Pensacola, Florida. Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks again.

John ~ Please visit the National WWII Memorial site, if you haven't already done so, at: www.wwiimemorial.com .  You will find two listings for your Uncle in it's registry.
