Hello again List! This is a follow up question to a previous post about this action. Mission 146 -May 5 1945. Honshu? / Kobe vicinity. B-29 A56 lost due to multiple passes by a "tojo". I am hoping this is not a real obscure question- someone may know right off the bat! I was curious what types of fighters (make/name/nickname) were being sent up against the bomber formations at this stage of the war? Which/where were fighter airfields were used for defense in this region? and what would the tactics normaly be against the heavy formations? I am just trying to recreate the scenario after getting as much as I could from the MACR. Thanks for any response! Tim
