Lt. James S Masey  crashed on 11-11-1944 with his plane, but where?
He was flying P-51  44-15064.
What was his Mission?

Mike  the 364th reported his oxygen failed at 33,000 feet and he disappeared after heading down.      Nick

Michel - No one saw him Crash.
1 Source says Crashed near Rauxel ?
The other last seen near Dorsten.
No info on a Picture.

Michel............the group was escorting B-17s to Gelsenkirchen ...about 16 km.  SE  of Dorsten. No definite location as Mike says. He was last seen on a heading of 340 degrees.
This is the only photo I've seen of Massey, not very good but it's a photocopy; if you can get hold of Ollie Joiner's book " The history of the 364th Fighter Group" it's on p. 70. It would be expensive now ( I paid £40 in 1995 ) but your library may help. Sorry I can't help more.                  Nick
