My father, Lt. Mike McCabe(deceased 4/26/05), 307th BG, 424th BS, was a Navigator based at Morotai. Mission dates ranged from 2/20/45-8/1/45.

Hello George,

I just saw your post and I emailed you three pictures of Zeece. I am the historian of the 474th FG Association and I have some good information on Zeece. Enjoy.

Cheers, Gary Koch

Alain,

According to 'To win the winter sky ' by Danny S. Parker, Zeece was last heard from on Jan 2nd at 09.40 AM, reporting  his left wing was on fire...
Like the day before they were operating in the La Roche-Malmédy-Prüm area.

Alain,

According to his IDPF, Zeece's crash site is in the woods 400m south of Baraque Dumont, Belgium. He was originally buried in an isolated grave by the Germans not too far from the crash site. Hope this helps.

Cheers, Gary Koch
