Looking for info for ID'ing air crew in photo - 08/11/2008 07:23:15 PM
My late father (Albert Van Wey) was a radioman attached to crew 75.  Have the names of his crew members (he kept contact with his pilot, Ronnie Koozer and another member) but no idea of contact info any more.

Just found a crew picture of them.  Back of the pic says "Official Air Force Photograph, Feb. 1945, Army Air Field, Alexandria, La."  There's a crew ID plaque on the ground marked "9941".  We'd like to put names to the faces.  There must be a way to get the info from files but I have no idea where to start on this.  Does anyone have any ideas where to start on this?

Any advice sincerely appreciated,
Greg Van Wey

Greg,
You could either scan and Email a copy of your pic to the research department of the 390th BG Museum and ask them for help in IDing the crew or you could ask the research Dept. for a copy of the crew pic and match them yourself.  Carolyn or Gene at: Res390th@aol.com.
Regards,
Hugh
