gravesite info in Florence Italy says shot down
Apr 13 1945 885th Bomb Squadron (Hvy). I received Info
from one historian who says he may have been with
885th bomb squadron, 2641 special operations group
(provisional) 304thBG, 15th AF. has anyone heard of this outfit or if there may be any survivors that still meet that would be part of this or know
about it. guess at the time it somewhat of secret operation and they called them the carpetbaggers.
