Looking for Information on Virgil Carneal

I am looking for any information anyone might have concerning my grandfather, Virgil Eugene Carneal Jr. I know that he fought in Germany and was a POW in several different German prison camps. Supposedly his plane had the phrase "Carneal's Cove" painted somewhere on it, but I do not have any pictures to verify that.
 
Any documents, photographs, or additional information anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
