Looking for Info on B-17 lost by 816 Sqd, Oct 12, 1944

Hello,
I am trying to find information on a 816 Squadron B-17 lost over Bologna on October 12, 1944.  Any information would be appreciated.

    The 816th's George G Howe crew was lost that date. Flack knocked out #1&2 engines, with #4 losing power when the crew bailed out. Navigator Rogers was hit in the right hand. Gunner Vannoy and Gunner Lovgren did not make it out. They came down in friendly territory and made it back in one day.
    I do not know the tail number of the B-17. This info is from 'The Hero's of the 483rd'.

    12 October 1944 a B-17,5 miles from Bologna. 463st BG/ 772th BS

    David..According to Dick Drain's 5th Wing History of Aircraft Assigned :
     
    44-6390     816     Eight of crew bail out 12 miles inside friendly  territory after mission to Bologna 12 Oct 44. George Howe crew, Heflin, Rogers, Ruby, Vaughn, Chivers, Mullins, Jobes, Vannoy, Lovgren. Vannoy,Lovgren KIA. Rest returned to base 13 Oct 44.

    Jaap...The BG was 483rd..not 463rd.
