I ran across the name of Leo J. Hagerty on an awarding of a Distiguished Flying Cross on 4 June 1944. It seems like I saw that name about a pilot that hit another plane and crashed but I can't find it on the forum. My father-in-law received his DFC at the same time and place. If the fellow that wrote about Leo J. Hagerty would like, I will scan and send the paper that has the name and recomendation on it.

I sent a post to the guy and we will see if he wants a copy of it. After spending the time and money to get the microfilm roll from Maxwell AFB I would like to see others get some benifit too. Joe

Joe,

If you are still willing to send that picture I would gladly pay the postage. My family is having a get together in Buffalo (Leo's hometown) this summer. My Uncle Jimmy is a forner B-17 Bombadier and survived Leo. I'm sure the remaining brothers and sister would love the picture.
