LT COL Aubrey S. Hurren KIA

Looking for any information on LT COL Aubrey S. Hurren KIA, 62nd Troop Carrier Grp. He died May 14, 1944 and is buried in Sicily- Rome American Cemetery. The local news clippings just say that he met his death in an aircraft accident in Italy. He received the DFC and the AM. Any information on what happened, photos, name of plane or crew would be appreciated. Thanks!
