Kimbolton Castle & Low-Flying B-17 1943

Hello All,

I'm searching for a photo taken in 1943 of a B-17 flying at low level over Kimbolton Castle and then down the main street of Kimbolton to the Church.

The photo was organised by Capt. Harry Fox, PRO of the 305thBG Chelveston. The photographer was Sgt Lousi Zusser and Capt Wm Whitson was the pilot of the B-17.

Apparently the photo was to be used on the cover of a book being written about the Eighth Air Force under the supervision of Gen Ira Eaker. The book was "Bomber Command" the official history of the USAAF

Any info, especially a copy of the photo, would be much appreciated.

I'm in NZ  with limited access to information.
Many thanks and God bless you,

Helen

I'd like to bump this thread "up" too, because it sounds fascinating

Does anyone have it, or could post a link to somewhere that DOES ?
