Hello, My uncle served in the 387th 556th and was killed in France 11/19/44. I was wondering if the 387th would have put out a similar news letter or were they only at the squadron level. Also does anyone know, since they were in the same bomb group, if the squadrons had much interaction with each other. I would like to get a picture of his plane, Queen of the Gremlins, if at all possible thanks Dale

Dear Sir I'm doing historical researches on Oissel Bridges (In Normandy near Rouen) for a local publication. The 387th BG bombed Oissel Bridge on the 10 May 1944. I'm looking for inputs about this bombing and to be in contact with veterans who participated to this strike. And by extention to the Normandy Battle. Regards Fabrice Dhollande

I just discovered one of my friends has his father's "yearbook" from the 557th. (Also has his fathers diary.) I am working on scanning in the entire thing- it has some great photos! Some 100 plus pages, covering all aspects of the squadron life- from training in the US through England and bomb mision pics. Really super! I will most likely post the whole thing somewhere, and make a few disks... His father's last name was Growney, and his address given as NYC, New York at the time. and was a B-26 pilot. I'll post more when I get a chance. Robbie
