-
06/25/2008 07:41:07 PM
Sir, I am stationed at Marine COrps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. Attempting to located anyone who has information on a mission that bombed this former Japanese airfield on AUG 9, 1945. From the book "Thr Grey Geese" I believe it was lead by the aircraft "Pacific Passion".

Email Phil and see if he has anything. Phil also has the email addresses of other members of the 11 BG H. Our friend gave you the address at the end of his reply. Do you have a copy of Grey Geese Calling that you can refer to it? I have a copy if you don't but need one to get your answer.

Yes, I have a copy of the book "Grey Geese" andthat is where I found a story written by Jack Schwartz the navigator for thePacific Passion. He tells the story of the Aug 9th, 1945 raid on Iwakuni NavalAir Station, Honshu Japan. I am stationed at that base and am looking for moreinformation regarding that particular mission. I did not see any e-mail address you referred to.

I am sorry, it is Phil Gudenschwager, he is the Treasure/Sec. for the 11 Bombardment Group Heavy, he lost a brother in the 11 BG H on 2/12/1943. Edit: Don't post people's email addresses in public. You can send the address to users through the PM system.
