Information on my father

I am trying to find out if anyone has information on my father, William T Lucas. He was in the 499th Bombardment group of the 878 Bomb Squadron. I think he was a Radar tech. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Carter...The 499th BG was assigned to the 73rd Bomb Wing. The Units in the 73rd Bomb Wing have combined, so that the 73rd Bomb Wing is now the main Unit for Reunions etc. Here is a contact for the 73rd Bomb Wing : Mr. Joseph A 649 Balmoral Rd. Winter Park FL, 32789-5204 email Simonds2@msn.com (Last name Simonds ?). In Addition : There is a website for all B-29s of WW II and Korea. http://b-29.org A suggestion, contact this website for assistance in answers to your questions. There is one list, that deals with only technical questions on the B-29 Aircraft, and the other is a Discussion List for all other subjects, including questions about personnel. Carter, my dad was in the 459th BG and 757th BS. It is very coincidental because my dad's name was Cleon Lucas. He was a flight engineer on the "Manatee", and my name is Terry William Lucas. Your dads's name was William T Lucas.

What a small world. Even smaller is the fact that my brother worked in Brazil, Indiana for many years and is now in Indianapolis.

Carter, there are a lot of Lucas's in Brazil, In. Some are my relation and maybe related to you also. We maybe even a distant relation.
