Information on SIMMONS, WILLIAM R. - 02/07/2008 03:41:00 PM
 Looking for any information on Lt.William R. Simmons for his sister Joan.He was a fighter pilot with 359th Fighter Group, 368th Fighter Squadron. 
Shot down on June 11, 1944 Bretteville/Malton France by flak in P-51B 43-6775 .
He had a P-47D called "Marryin Sam" before the P-51.
I know I have seen a photo of this P-47 but can't remember where.
Any help please.

Lt. William R. Simmons flew an escort mission on May 13, 1944 (P-51 #42-106949 CV-V).
