I am searching for info/photos of my uncle Cpl. Joe Kuebler (tail gunner on 42-24842). The plane caught fire and exploded northwest of Tinian on 2-12-45 on the 6th's fourth mission out of Tinian (MACR 12049). Anyone know what they named the plane? Anyone remember him? I am trying to complete a biography of his military service to pass on to his surviving brothers and sister. Any help would be appreciated. Jim Kuebler [signature]
