Request clarification on B-17 42-31966.  The B-17 Flying Fortress story shows that B-17 as being assigned 511BS/351BG.  However, the following sites address 388 BG:  http://www.8thafhs.org/bomber/388bg.htm

Fred Preller's web site is very useful for groups and squadrons ID but not for individual call letters.
I will check out the other web sites.
