Help with P-47 42-27583 - 03/12/2008 09:33:49 PM

Can someone move this thread or guide me to the right group that can help me with information on a P-47 42-27583. My father was in the 82Bs 12 bg and had a picture of p-47. I think the plane crashed on the 18 Jan 45. If so, the photo was take with in a few weeks, if not a few days before. I'd like to try and find a family member that would be interested. Any info appreciated.

This MACR is posted on Footnote.com. Crashed on Jan 18, 1945 about 25 miles from Heho, Burma. Pilot was Lt Richard T. Gilmore, 0806830 of 1st ACG, 5th FS.
