Help Tracking down Landis Ed

Help Tracking down someone...

FOund a letter in a book from the library, no envelope. Letter has an illustration of some planes and a field below it and says "U.S. Army Air Force". The letter was written Oct. 17 and has "Langley Field" handwritten in the top right corner. It's addressed to "Mama" and is two pages long and signed, "Landis Ed". Trying to find out who theis belongs/ed to. Letter mentions attending MIT and a friend named, "Wengke". Just trying to do some research and find out who we can give this letter to. If anyone has any info or can get me pointed in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Sounds like this "Landis" was involved in radar.

Thank you,

J. McConnell
