I'm looking for information regarding my father, George Raymond Will, from Union City, NJ. He was inducted in Apr 43 at the age of 31 and served in Italy with the 15th AF in 98th BG from 7 Oct 44 through 19 Apr 45. He was a T/Sgt at discharge in Oct 45. His service record includes bronze stars for Rome-Arno, Southern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, North Appennines, Po Valley and Central Europe and Air Combat in the Balkans. He received the AM in Nov 44, OLC to AM in Feb 45 and OLC to AM in Mar 45. MOS 747. Can anyone place him in a squadron or crew? Jim

Yes, this is my Dad. I have a copy of this same induction information that I received from Selective Service archives. I have tried for years to get something from the records center in St. Louis but those copies were destroyed in the fire; only recently I found his separation papers and discharge in a forgotten strongbox. When I was young, Dad showed me pictures of his crew and nose art from his squadron. I'm still trying to find those pictures and will share them if found.

I have some 250, 98th B-24 names and serial numbers. I can tie many of them to individual crews. If you can give me some B-24 names AND/OR crew members nanes, perhaps I can help more. We still have WW II members attend our reunions and just maybe some will remember George Will. Our reunion this year is in Cincinnati. You are most welcome to visit us there and talk with our members. Herb harper. Email BOMBGRP98@aol.com
