Flying 8 Ball Crew - 07/11/2008 04:13:13 AM
The attached picture is part of the crew of the B24 Flying 8 Ball 41-11923 of the 307th BG,371st BS.
The pilot of the 8 ball was Wallace McGreevy and I am trying to put names to the faces of the three guys in this picture.

I think that the guy in the middle may be Emil Jackson serial # 19055319 and my main focus of attention.

Emil was also with Wallace McGreevy aboard the Knit Clipper - 42-40177 11th BG,26th BS which crashed 28th June 1943.

I am also hoping to make contact with the family of Emil. Three sisters,Genevive,Jeanette and Clarice and a brother Manford.
Emil may also have had children, but If so,I do not have any names.

My Grandfather Walter Beaty serial # 36071091 I believe was part of the 8 ball crew as well as the Knit Clipper.

I would greatly appreciate any information

Colin Beaty

Colin, I hope I do not confuse you or others with this quick research but here is what I found on Emil's family...additional research could be done if spouses were known in order to determine children etc.

The Jackson family lived mostly in Montana however Census records show birth records in Minnesota for some of the children which is where their father, Ingman was born.  I did not dig to much as it can be time consuming so I utilized locations to match for the most part especially for Emil and Jeanette.  With the information below it appears that Clarice would be the only possible living relative

Father – Ingman Jackson – born about 12-24-1892 in Lac Qui Parle Minnesota -  died July 1965 Billings Montana– age 73
Mother – Emma – born about 1902 – died  July 1987 – Billings Montana = age 87

Emil I Jackson – was born about 1920 in Minnisota –he enlisted on Oct 22, 1941 -he died May 1, 1965 – Daniels County Montana -  age 45 years  - his death record indicated married / seperated.
Sister - Genevive E Jackson – born about 1922 – died July 17, 1992 – age 70,  - note: I could not find any marriage records for Genevive so I felt certain this is Emil sister. JACKSON, Genevive, Eleanor - 7/17/1992 - 4554 – county 56 which is Lincoln County..--- she would have been 86 this year.
Brother - Manford J Jackson – born about 1923 – died Sep 8, 1987 – Gallatin Montana – age 64- Manford did enlist on March 3, 1943 enlistment city was Los Angeles
Sister - Jeanette A Jackson – born about 1927 – died Jan 14, 1941- Daniels Montana -  age 13 years.
Sister - Clarice A Jackson – born about Jan 1930 – at the time of the 1930 census she was listed as 4 mos old. --- she would be 78 this year if still living

Hi Linda20500,

I greatly appreciate the trouble that you have gone to in obtaining this information, and will try and locate any existing members of Emil's family.

It may be possible that there were more children to Ingman and Emma Jackson than I listed and possibly this could lead to further information on Emil.

Thanks again
Colin Beaty
