Hello friends, i'm back after a long period "out of service", due to serious backspine problems...
In this time i have found some little notes about Eugene B. Boward, 86th BS, 47th BG, shot down "...over northern italy" and returned in to the allied lines.
Someone know more? thanks.
PS: i have found a lot of personal messages, i'll need some days to reply, please be patient!

Hi Mick,
Gary B who is with this forum is Eugene B Bowards son, I think he can give you alot of info. He and I have talked for a few years. My father was with the 86th from the invasion of North Africa until the end in Northern Italy, so we have traded info.

Dear Mick,
Bill Gaynor sent me an email that you were looking for some information about my father, Eugene Boward. You can imagine my surprise when I saw this thread with the subject: Eugene B. Boward!
My father was shot down on 11 Nov 1944 while on a night intruder mission which was attempting to knock out the last bridge over the Po river. I have all of his records, diary and many stories he wrote about the evasion.
Drop me a PM or email or reply to this thread and I wil attempt to answer your questions as best I can.
