Desperately Seeking Info!!!

I am trying to locate some information on my Grandfather, Marion Parker (aka Pappy or Pop). I know that he was a Tail Gunner or Aerial Gunner.... his plane # is unknown, as is his Crew name. The 487th website has him listed in the 839th squadron. Unfortunately, my Grandfather passed away in 1985 and my Grandmother, who is 91, is unable to remember much. Please help! Thank you.

I can likely find you some info but, I cannot do anything untill this weekend/ monday
If you get a chance find the book written by Ivo De jong it is a very good starting point. Also for some excellent reading check out some of the other books mentioned on the 487.org website.
