Crew members of 42-95142 Butler Crew? - 07/20/2008 04:07:15 PM
Hello,

I have a photo of some crew members, captured near "Todtmoos" in the Black Forest in summer 1944.

Is it possible that these crew members belonged to the crew of 2Lt. Myron H. Butler, pilot of 42-95142,
lost on 07/21/1944?

Can anybody identify the people on the photo?

Thank you for your help.

Peter

Hello Mike,

Todtmoos is about 20 km northwest of Waldshut-Tiengen and about 30 km northeast Lörrach. To the swiss border 20 km.

Dou you have the MACR #7288? I use "Footnote" for research, but this MACR is not contained. With the MACR, I could compare the "Individual Casualty Questionaire" with the reports of the german eyewitnesses.

I have one more question. To my knowledge, the IDPF´s exist only for individuals who died while overseas during WW II.

Are there comparable documets for POW´s? Special the place of capture would be very helpful for my research.
